Descrizione
The Acus One For Strings 8 is specially designed to amplify any acoustic instrument fitted with a pickup. Jack in an electro-acoustic guitar, bass, banjo or even stringed instruments like violins, violas and cellos. This amplifier is fitted with three channels: two for a microphone or instrument as needed and a further dedicated instrument input. As such, vocals and instruments can be amplified and mixed simultaneously via the Acus One For Strings 8, whether it's two vocalists accompanied by an instrument or two instruments accompanying one vocal performer.
Acus
Acus specialises in making amplifiers for electro-acoustic instruments and as such, are completely focused on building the best possible amplifiers for musicians who need more volume from their acoustic instrument. Since many of their developers used to work for Schertler, they actually know what they're doing and it's worth noting that every single amp and accessory Acus release is designed and built in Recanati, Italy.

Prachtige natuurlijke klank. De EQ reageert heel snel waardoor de minste wijziging al een verandering in klank met zich meebreng. Qua volume is deze luid genoeg om in een band te kunnen gebruiken en hij kan altijd optioneel via DI aangesloten worden (post EQ).
Enige minpunt vind ik de effectensectie. Er zitten 8 reverbs in maar deze zijn niet benoemd waardoor je eigenlijk niet weet wat je hebt aanstaan. Een chorus had ook wel gemogen.
Maar voor een natuurgetrouw geluid is deze zeer aan te raden. En ziet er ook goed uit.

Prima versterker met een mooie gebalanceerde sound. Lekker (stak) laag en mooi helder (top) hoog.
Ik kon de amp elders goedkoper aanschaffen. Helaas kon Bax niet mee in deze prijs (KeyMusic overigens wel). Echter met de kortingskaart die ik ontvangen had alsnog bij Bax aangeschaft.
Jammer dat er geen Send/Return op de amp zitten waardoor je je effect volgens het 4-cable principe kunt aansluiten.
Bij het aan/uit zetten geeft de amp een plop (getest op geaard en ongeaard stopcontact, met de GND lift aan een uit en alle volumes uit). Gevraagd of Bax dit met een ander (demo) model kon testen. Helaas was dit niet mogelijk. Ondanks alles toch tevreden met mijn aankoop.
